3D Beadwork

These interesting creations are made simply using different types of beads and clear plastic wire; they can take from 15 minutes to over 2 hours to make.


Various shapes are formed by weaving the beads and plastic wire using basic beading techniques. The beads used are different in shape, size, colour, finish and material.

What makes handmade beadwork such as Sammy or Maya unique you might ask? Well, quite a few things actually.

Beadwork is woven into three dimensional objects instead of the usual flat two dimensional effect obtained when beads are strung in a row to make say a simple bracelet.

Beadwork has been created to look like familiar objects which are easily recognisable but are unique and just a little bit different.

Some of the beadwork such as the delightful Sammy transforms with a little manipulation and can be fun and interactive for anyone lucky enough to handle them.
