About Us
We make handmade 3D (three dimensional) beadwork mainly from Bournemouth on the south coast of England. We are currently based in Bournemouth.
Brief History Making 3D beadwork started after being given a beaded orange as a present by Kitty. Based on its actual proportions, the orange was actually a mandarin. When held in the palm of the hand, the clear orange and green beads sparkled in the sunshine coming through the window; it was incredible!
The perfect geometry, the symmetry, the uniqueness, the fact that I had not seen anything like it before was amazing. The mandarin echoed the simple honeycomb structure constructed by bees. I wanted to know how this item was created. In the past I have bought beads and some thread to string them up; that was the extent of my capability. This mandarin opened up a whole new world for me. I have been bead-crazy ever since.
Warning: Please note that some of our handmade beadwork is small and cute so should not be given to very young children as toys.
